The Platinum Pole School was founded in June 2010 by Emily Knowles. The school was founded on the basis that pole dancing did not have to be taught by strippers or use its seedy image. Instead trained ballet and contemporary dancers along with gymnasts transferred their skills to the pole.
Our teachers are not only trained to teach pole dancing, but also to be patient. We understand the need to get the balance between challenging our students and making them work hard, while being encouraging and finding each student's personal limits and comfort zones.
Keeping our students safe is very important to us. We have public liability of up to £5 million, first aid training, safety mats and experience teaching at every level. We want you to enjoy the big scary tricks and know you are in good hands. We hope all the precautions we have in place to keep you safe while you learn to pole dance are never needed.
We think of The Platinum Pole School as a place where you not only learn to pole dance, but meet new friends and have fun. The studio is a warm and friendly place, with many personal touches. We keep our classes small so you get the most out of your lessons, and host free pole play sessions once a week, we even have monthly challenges for people to take part in. We truly care about our studio and students.
All our teachers love their job, and this is clear to see at every class. We see learning to pole dance as a journey, discovering a new skill while, working towards fitter body and greater self-confidence. We love it when our students master a trick they have struggled with or when you first go upside down. We take personal pride in watching the dress sizes drop off our students and when the floor gets closer as you try the splits.
The Platinum Pole School offers the professionalism, insurance levels and quality of a big company, while caring about our students like a small business.
